Darryl Weddle : On the way home from Columbia, SC today as I passed from Yakin County to Surry County I could still see the smoke and smell the fire that had started in Lowgap. As terrible and dangerous as that fire was God reminded me not all fire is bad. I was listening to 94.1 K-Love on my way home just thinking about that fire, and God put in my Spirit this thought. One person can create a spark and that spark can start a fire. That fire may be unoticed at first, but as it begins to spread it starts to draw attention. By this time the fire is consuming everything in its path. The flame that started out small is now affecting areas that are miles away from where it started. Sparks from that fire are being picked up by the wind and starting multiple fires in many other areas. God was trying to show me that all it takes is a spark. One person, maybe you, maybe me, doing what God asks of us. We could be that spark that starts the fire in someone's life. A small fire that no one may notice at first, but as fuel is added it starts to grow, igninting from one to another. It's affects can reach into other counties, cities, states and countries. This could be a good kind of fire to start. A fire that would save souls, heal bodies and minds, free people from addictions. Could one of us be the person God wants to create that spark? I guess if we sit still we may never know.
